| BARIATRIC SURGERY EVALUATION AND SUPPORT PROGRAM of the SOUTH BAY and LOS ANGELES A new and innovative program for pre and post operative Bariatric surgery patients. More than 60 percent of the U.S. population is overweight and about 30 percent is classified as being obese. In recent years society has shown increased awareness of the need for the treatment and prevention of obesity. It is now widely accepted among those in the medical and mental health fields that morbid obesity is a medical condition that requires treatment. Our comprehensive program includes psychological assessment for surgical/insurance approval, support groups, family, relationship and individual psychological counseling. We will also offer evaluation and pre/post surgical counseling for plastic and reconstructive surgery patients. The programs will be run by Dr. Marcy Rosenzweig Leavitt, Psy.D and supervised by Dr. King. We accept most insurance plans. Please contact our office for more information. |
